6 Tips to Organize Your Life and Get Your $#*! Together

It’s hard to be on top of everything especially in periods when there are just too many things on your plate. Once it starts pouring, it’s almost unstoppable. Here are some tips that we use to stay organized during the hectic times.

1. Write Everything Down
When you have so much going on in your head, it’s just so easy to get caught up in the moment and forget something important really easily, or feel like walking on water - constantly worried and not being able to ground yourself. Writing everything down and seeing what you have to do helps to clear up your head, and keep you on track.

2. Clear Your Inbox
Is it just me, or does it feel like I’m always accumulating unopened emails, and only realize the landslide when I see the 1K messages notification icon? Unsubscribe to emails that you haven’t opened for a month, because you clearly don’t need them, no strings attached.

3. Routine
Having a routine helps to keep you sane. It can be going to the gym, having a warm cup of tea or coffee, making your bed right after you wake up, meditating, journaling, cleaning, practicing your skin care routine, meal prepping, flipping a calendar date - it can be anything that makes you feel like you’re put together.

 4. Small Things First
It can be difficult to push yourself to do something when you are SO not feeling it. Start from small things and get them out of your way. Give priorities to things that need to be done sooner than later. It’s like a game - you have small missions and whenever you accomplish you go up by one stage, and when you realize you’ve won over the final boss and you’re conquering the world, and you’ve achieved a level of invincibility. Doesn’t that sound fun?

5. Organize Your Desk and Room
Messy spaces can cause stress, anxiety, and restlessness. Try to have minimal distractions around you, especially at your working space. Having specific place for things to belong can help, or even try labelling!

6. Disconnect
Last but not least, staying away from distractions can also be done by unplugging yourself from social media. Take some time away to disconnect from the world, so you can focus on yourself and refresh. It can be hard at the start, but worth trying!
